The AGRITECH EU project is a collaborative initiative aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of agriculture across Europe. By developing advanced training modules and higher education programmes, the project seeks to equip agricultural professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate a digitized farming landscape.GRITECH EU focuses on the creation of innovative higher education programmes and certifications, designed to train specialists in digital agriculture. These programmes, set at ISCED Level 7 or equivalent, are dedicated to digital agricutlure or enrich existing bachelor’s and master’s degrees by integrating modules that address the digital transition in farming and food production. The project also emphasizes the development of standalone courses, which will be available both online and in person. Beyond equipping participants with the technical skills to use and design digital tools, the programmes will also train them to critically assess the socio-economic impacts of these technologies and adopt a responsible innovation approach.
Through this initiative, AGRITECH EU aims to establish a European catalog of interdisciplinary training modules in digital agriculture. These modules will be complemented by innovative teaching methods, including blended learning and hands-on training. The project will also facilitate the mobility of students and instructors across partner institutions, fostering international collaboration and the exchange of expertise.
