Bio

Anouk Hannot is a French pre-doctoral research intern in the Department of Agricultural Economics for the 2025-26 academic year. After a bachelor’s degree in Economics, she completed a Master’s in Sociology with a focus on quantitative methods at ENS Paris-Saclay. Her master’s thesis examined how environmental and health attitudes relate to meat-eating practices and how these patterns vary across sociodemographic groups, with a focus on red-meat consumption frequency.

Her research interests include the social dynamics of animal and alternative protein consumption—how environmental, health, quality, and animal welfare prescriptions relate to everyday practices. She is also interested in how macro-level cultural and institutional contexts shape normative repertoires and consumer attitudes across different national settings.
