Bio

Branwen Peddi is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Agricultural Economics since November 2019. She has a Master of Science degree in Bioscience Engineering, with a specialisation in Agricultural Sciences. She also studied at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands, where she followed the Development & Rural Innovation program. She volunteers for the working group of diversity and inclusion at the faculty (Be4Diversity), for the university’s working group on anti-discrimination, and for Ekoli – an association that strives to make scientific education more approachable and inclusive.

Research

Branwen’s doctoral research, funded by FWO Vlaanderen, focuses on understanding the underlying dynamics of knowledge exchange with migrant farmers in Ghana, and the relation with changes or innovations in traditional agricultural knowledge. Her research supervisors are both Prof. dr. ir. Joost Dessein of Ghent University and dr. David Ludwig of Wageningen University & Research.
