Bio

Charline joined the Department of Agricultural Economics as an academic assistant in January 2026. She holds a BSc and MSc degree in Bioscience Engineering – Agricultural Sciences, with a focus on sustainable food systems, nutrition, and health, obtained at the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve. In her Master’s thesis, she evaluated the suitability of TAPE (Tool for Agroecology Performance Evaluation) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Before joining the department, she worked for a Belgian NGO active in supporting the agroecological transition in Belgium. She is passionate about the shift towards sustainable and resilient food systems, which will be the central theme of her future research and PhD. As an academic assistant, she is involved in several courses related to food marketing, economics, and consumer behaviour.
