Bio

Diana Kirungi holds an MSc degree from the Nutrition and Rural Development (NuRuDe) programme which she attained from Ghent University, Belgium in 2015. Her research under the program focused on assessing the relationship between physical activity level and the prevalence of excess body weight among adults in Uganda. She works with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Uganda under the Climate Smart Program. She is currently a doctoral researcher here at Ghent University with her research focusing on socio-economics, business models and Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA).

Research

Dianaโ€™s current research focusses on developing business models and recommendations for enhancing adoption and scaling of Climate Smart Agricultural innovations among smallholder farmers. The research aims to generate new knowledge in climate science to inform climate action.
