Luis Phillips has been a PhD Candidate at the Department of Agricultural Economics since September 2023 within the VLIR – UOS project with the UCB in Bolivia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s in Geoinformation Sciences and Earth Observation from the UMSS. He is also a lecturer and researcher in the Social and Human Sciences Department at the UCB and the Social Sciences Research Center.
Luis’ research focuses on the links between social and environmental elements and the potential of these networks and dynamics to foster the local management of natural resources in rural communities in the Global South, especially in Bolivia.
