Bio
Elvia Merino-Gaibor graduated as a Master in Business Administration, ESPAE Graduate School of Management, Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL in Spanish), Guayaquil – Ecuador. She is a Ph.D. Candidate of Doctor in Bioscience Engineering, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Bioscience Engineering, Ghent University, Ghent – Belgium. She spent over eight years as a lecturer of entrepreneurship and innovation, research assistant, and project manager of links with the community. Her primary academic interest is entrepreneurship and resilience in short food supply chains, with a special focus on the cocoa sector.
