Bio

Mezgeb Like Melak is an Ethiopian PhD student who joined the Department of Agricultural Economics in February 2022. She holds an MSc in Agricultural Communication and Innovation from Jimma University, awarded in 2018. She has eight years of experience in research and teaching.

Research

Mezgeb is interested in rural development, food security, livelihoods, climate change, and migration. Her research focuses on migration, conflict, and climate change dynamics, specifically examining how human mobility interacts with other socioeconomic outcomes and its impact on host communities.
