Bio

Riski Ayu Anggreini is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Ghent University’s Faculty of Bioscience Engineering. Her studies are fully supported by the Indonesian Education Scholarship of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (BPI Kemdiktisaintek). This is a distinguished scholarship program administered by the Indonesian government, with funding drawn from both the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) and the State Budget (APBN). She previously earned her M.Sc. degree in Food Science and Technology from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Currently, she holds a position as a lecturer in the Food Technology study program at Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur University in Indonesia.

Research

Riski’s doctoral research will investigate the sensory properties and consumer behavior associated with various Indonesian macroalgae. The aim is to explore the potential of these macroalgae for the development of sustainable functional food products. This work seeks to bridge the gap between novel food sources and consumer acceptance while promoting sustainable food product development.
