I am a PhD student and researcher at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Ghent University. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Resource Economics and Management from Hawassa University and a Masters degree in Agricultural Economics from Haramaya University, Ethiopia. I had been working as a lecturer for 5 years and more at Woldia University, Ethiopia. My research area during my Master's work was on the Determinants of Adoption of Improved Teff Technologies Particularly Improved Varieties by Smallholder Farmers in Kobo District, Amhara Region, Ethiopia. My current research focuses on the impact of improved wheat agricultural technologies adoption on welfare (i.e., yield, food security, and poverty) of smallholder farm households in the Amhara Region, Ethiopia.
