Tigist Waktole Berkesa is a PhD researcher at the Department of Agricultural Economics who has joined our department from Ethiopia. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Information System and her postgraduate Degree in Masters of Business Administration from Jimma University, Ethiopia. Her professional background was a university lecturer, researcher and Procurement/Supply chain Manager at the same university where she has got her Degrees. She has worked broadly across various Supply chain activities in addition to teaching, conducting research works and advising university students for their research works.
Tigist’s PhD research is focused on the Green Supply Chain Management Practices for Corporate Sustainability in Ethiopian Leather Industry. She is studying how environment friendly SCM practices impact the companies Operational, Economic, Social and Environmental Performances. Her research is funded by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education. Furthermore, Tigist is engaged in different research projects with her colleagues in Ethiopia and currently doing a project aimed at exploring how Company’s responsiveness practice on Supply Chain Management impacts their economic performance.

Bio
Tigist Waktole Berkesa is a PhD researcher at the Department of Agricultural Economics who has joined our department from Ethiopia.
